with Waterous Pacer fire hydrant.
8:15-12:00: Got MJ by flange 6'' 90° elbow for hydrant on park by McDaniel.
8:30: Hammering rock at McDaniel hydrant.
8:30: Digging McDaniel hydrant.
8:45: Contacted people about water being shut off.
9:00: Hammering & digging McDaniel hydrant.
9:15: Hammering & digging McDaniel hydrant.
9:30: Shut off 2 of 3 main valves that need to be shut off.
9:45: Shut off last of the main valves that need to be shut off, purged hydrant
in school football field to release pressure from system.
10:00: Cutting off bolts for hydrant to valve.
10:15: Cutting bolts, solid rock base under valve & hydrant making cutting
10:30: Cutting bolts with both gas & electric tools.
10:45: Bolts cut off, hammering out thrust block, pulled out hydrant.
11:00: Hammering & digging for new hydrant.
11:15: Setting new hydrant in hole.
11:30: Bolting new hydrant to valve & elbow.
11:45: Torqueing bolts to valve & elbow.
12:00: Hydrant installed, ready for restraints.
12:30-2:00: Poured first thrust block for elbow.
12:45: Poured second thrust block for hydrant.
1:00: Added bedding material, gravel around weep holes, backfilling, compacting
with jumping jack.
1:15: Backfilling & compacting.
1:30: Turn main valves back on.
1:45: Reposition steamer port on hydrant to face road.
2:00: Flush hydrant.
