03-06-2014 Dietrich Idaho Water Project. Well house upgrades.
8:30-10:30: Met with Keller inspector Randy Brixey.
10:30-12:30: Electricians wiring vents & installing conduit, shut off water from tank, removed flow meter, installed 4" pipe for new well into tee where flow meter was removed from.
1:30-5:30: Electricians installing conduit, remove old 6" check valve, 6" gate valve & 6" ductile iron piping, install new narrower 6" check valve, relocate 6" gate valve, install new Badger M2000 mag-meter flow-meter, install & tap two saddles for sample tap & sodium hypochlorite injection, install third saddle& tap for sample tap, tightened all fasteners with inch electric impact gun as tight as it would go, checked torque with clicker torque wrench, torque was at least what it needed to be, no check was made to see what torque actually was, one gasket is squishing out of flange, installation instructions say Badger M2000 meters require grounding rings when used with cement lined pipe, and gaskets are recommended, no gaskets were used, no grounding rings were used, Badger M2000 mag-meter has unstable flow rate readings perhaps due to not being grounded as the instructions say is required
